На филологическом факультете состоялась защита диссертации «Fake news as a modern media phenomenon: features of formation and functioning». Автор Мукситх Мунадхил Абдул под руководством д.соц.н., профессора кафедры массовых коммуникаций Валерия Музыканта провел комплексный анализ происхождения, содержания и современного функционирования фейковых новостей. Его диссертация – одно из первых комплексных научных исследований, изучающих теоретические и методологические подходы к фейковым новостям как современному феномену в контексте эпидемии COVID-19.

Автор заключает, что распространение фейковых новостей оказывает огромное влияние на современное индонезийское общество, особенно на молодое поколение, а опыт Индонезии в борьбе с распространением фейков способствует дальнейшему изучению как способов противодействия инфодемии, так и плана устойчивого восстановления после пандемии COVID-19.

Диссертация была высоко оценена членами диссертационного совета.
Актуальность темы привлекла и других слушателей: поддержать аспиранта пришли его друзья и земляки.

The dissertation "Fake news as a modern media phenomenon: features of formation and functioning" was defended at the Faculty of Philology. The author, Muksith Munadhil Abdul, supervised by Valeriy Muzykant, PhD in Social Sciences and Professor at the Department of Mass Communication, conducted a comprehensive analysis of the origin, content and modern functioning of fake news. His dissertation is one of the first comprehensive scientific studies to explore theoretical and methodological approaches to fake news as a contemporary phenomenon in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic.

The author concludes that the spread of fake news has a huge impact on contemporary Indonesian society, especially on the younger generation, and Indonesia's experience in combating the spread of fake news contributes to further exploration of both ways to counter the infodemy and a plan for sustainable recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The dissertation was highly appreciated by members of the dissertation council.
The relevance of the topic also attracted other listeners: friends and fellow countrymen came to support the PhD student.
